1. Who we are

Drivelihood is an international marketplace for driving, training, security and support services. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have over it.

2. What we collect

Account information. Your name, email, phone number, country, city and address, your role, and your password in hashed form.

Verification data. To verify identity we use a third party provider. They process your government issued ID and a liveness check. We receive the result of that check and a reference, not a copy of your raw ID document.

Location data. With your permission we use your device location to set a pickup point, to rank providers by real distance from you, to log the route of a job in progress, and to attach a position to an SOS alert. You can refuse location access, though features that depend on it will not work.

Booking data. The services you request, the addresses and coordinates involved, routes, distances and times, messages exchanged with the other party, and the status of the booking.

Payment data. Wallet balance and transaction history. Card and bank details are handled by our payment partners and are never stored on our servers.

Device data. Push notification tokens, and basic technical information such as IP address and app version.

3. Why we use it

To run your account, verify identity, match you with providers near you, calculate routes and arrival times, deliver notifications, process wallet transactions, prevent fraud and abuse, support you when something goes wrong, and meet our legal obligations.

4. Provider identity and the unlock system

Providers are shown publicly under a handle. Their real name, contact details and exact address are not disclosed in public listings, in search results or through our public API.

When a customer unlocks a provider, that provider's real name and contact details are disclosed to that customer only, and the provider is notified. Unlocking is the only route by which a provider's identity becomes visible.

5. Location, in detail

Location is collected in the foreground while you are using a location dependent feature, and while a job you are on is running, so that the route can be logged. It is used to place you on a map, to compute a route, to rank nearby providers, and to attach a position to a safety alert.

Coordinates are shared with our mapping provider in order to return an address, a route or an arrival time. Your live position is not shared with other users except where the feature plainly requires it, such as sending an SOS alert to your company admins, or sharing an agreed pickup point with the driver you booked.

You can turn location off at any time in your device settings.

6. Push notifications

If you allow notifications we store a device token so we can tell you about bookings, messages, wallet activity and safety alerts. You can revoke permission at any time in your device settings, and the token stops working.

7. Drivelihood AI

Messages you send to Drivelihood AI, and the context needed to answer them such as your role, your city and your approximate location, are processed by our AI provider in order to generate a reply. Do not send sensitive personal information you would not want processed this way.

8. Who we share it with

We share only what a given job requires, with: our identity verification partner, our payment partners, our mapping provider, our AI provider, our push notification providers, and our hosting and email providers. We also share information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect someone's safety.

We do not sell your personal information.

9. Organizations and staff

If you join an organization on the platform, that organization's admins can see your staff profile, your duty status, the routes logged for jobs you perform for them, and incidents you report. This is how a company supervises its own operations. If you would rather not be visible to a company, do not join one.

10. How long we keep it

Account and booking records are kept while your account is open and for as long as afterwards as we need them for legal, accounting, safety and dispute purposes. Route logs and incident records are kept for safety and audit reasons. You can ask us to delete your account, and we will remove what we are not legally required to keep.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable form. Contact us through the contact page and we will respond.

12. Security

Passwords are hashed. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to production data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and keep your login to yourself.

13. Children

Drivelihood is not intended for children. Do not create an account if you are below the age at which you can enter a binding contract in your country.

14. International transfers

Drivelihood operates internationally, and our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards.

15. Changes

We may update this policy as the platform develops. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email.

16. Contact

Questions about privacy can be sent through the contact page.
